Acclaim
“Statuesque — 5’7”, with striking extensions that contribute to her commanding stage presence…she could be mistaken for a Russian ballerina, if it weren’t for her very American versatility.”
- Dance Magazine
“The understated, elegant Teuscher…has found a way to fold her acting into the precision of her dancing so delicately that artifice dissolves. In “Giselle,” she illuminated her character with subtle gestures and a powerful technique, but her Juliet was something else. Not a moment was wasted. It was real.”
- New York Times
“The Balanchine is a glittering display of virtuosity and musicality, and Teuscher…was majestic: clean, clear, and expansive, distinct in her upper body.”
- New York Times
“Ms. Teuscher, is movingly impersonal, dancing objectively as if serving the choreography rather than herself.”
- New York Times
“But the most radiant dancer of the night was Teuscher. The contrast of her rapid, whispering feet and voluminous arms commanded the stage from the start. Myrta is cold and vengeful, and while Teuscher masters that character’s steely side, she also brings the slightest shadow of wistfulness. Teuscher makes your mind race — her Myrta, authoritative and glamours, must have a whopper of an origin story.”
- New York Times
“Ms. Teuscher’s dancing draws attention to shape, contours, sequences.”
- New York Times
“And she moves the way she looks: Her line has amplitude; her phrases unfold smoothly, like thick cream.”
- New York Times
